A PROVEN LEGAL ADVOCATE FOR KY

Carmine Iaccarino is an experienced attorney and public servant who has spent his career protecting the rule of law and serving Kentucky communities. He is running for County Attorney to bring principled leadership, sound judgment, and steady legal experience to local government.

EXPERIENCE THAT MATTERS

Carmine currently practices civil litigation in Lexington, representing local governments, public officials, and public institutions in complex legal matters. His work focuses on constitutional law, employment law, administrative law, and appeals — the very issues county governments face every day.

He has represented Kentucky officials and agencies in state and federal courts, including cases involving open records, elections, ethics, and government accountability.

LEADERSHIP IN STATE GOVERNMENT

Before returning to private practice, Carmine served as Chief of Staff and General Counsel to the Kentucky Attorney General. In those roles, he helped lead a statewide office, advised on ethics and compliance, worked closely with the General Assembly, and oversaw litigation impacting communities across the Commonwealth.

He also served as General Counsel and Executive Director of the Kentucky Public Protection Cabinet, where he supervised attorneys across multiple agencies, defended the Commonwealth in court, and helped reduce unnecessary regulations while ensuring the law was followed.

A STRONG LEGAL FOUNDATION

Carmine began his career in private practice and federal service, giving him a practical understanding of how the law affects families, workers, and small businesses — not just government offices.

He earned his law degree with honors from The Catholic University of America, is admitted to practice in Kentucky and federal courts, and has been recognized for excellence in appellate advocacy. He regularly trains and advises county officials on open records, elections, and government transparency.

ROOTED IN THE COMMUNITY

Carmine lives in Woodford County, where he and his family are proud to call Kentucky home. He has served on local school boards, church leadership teams, nonprofit boards, and community organizations.

His commitment to service goes beyond the courtroom — he believes local government works best when it is accessible, transparent, and focused on the people it serves.
